Scientific Expertise
Asuragen’s scientific experts can de novo clone and characterize recombinant plasmid DNA from a customer-defined in silico target sequence for compatibility with in vitro transcription and/or Armored RNA® technology.

Armored Technology

Armored RNA® and Armored DNA™ technologies stabilize and protect nucleic acids from nuclease degradation by packaging them in a protective protein coat. Armored reagents deliver several end-user benefits, including:

Optimized Workflow
Armored RNA®, Armored RNA Quant® and Armored DNA Quant™ controls can be added directly to human matrices as an exogenous internal control for extraction with most nucleic acid isolation methods and detection in molecular assays.

Flexibility
Nuclease-resistant protein coat can also be removed by heat lysis for direct detection as a positive run control.

Plasmid DNA

Circular and Linearized Plasmid DNA
Asuragen’s high quality plasmid preparations and cGMP manufacturing can be used to generate both circular and linearized DNA from customer-provided in silico sequences or plasmid stock.

In Vitro Transcribed RNA (IVT-RNA)

High quality IVT-RNA can be generated from an existing or de novo cloned plasmid DNA stock containing a target sequence downstream from the T7 promoter (preferred) or from SP6 or T3 promoters (upon request).
